Atlas Payments' existing settlement engine was built on a monolithic architecture that couldn't handle their growth into new currency corridors. Peak-hour transactions were timing out, and adding a new currency required weeks of manual configuration.
We re-architected the settlement engine into event-driven microservices with currency-specific routing logic, deployed on a Kubernetes cluster with automatic horizontal scaling. A new internal admin tool let their ops team onboard currency corridors in hours instead of weeks.
